Post Type Archives & Searches

Note: This section explains structuring the appearance of Post Type Archives. WordPress Archives

Toolset’s WordPress Archives are powered by the Toolset Views plugin, which is also useful for creating custom Loops/Feeds. For more information, visit the Custom Loops/Feeds Documentation. For more information on Toolset Views, visit the Views guide.

WordPress Archives display multiple posts for a Post Type (ie. News section – shows 10 news posts per page). Toolset allows us to custom design these Archives, add Custom Searches, Filters, etc. To design a WordPress Archive, visit Toolset > WordPress Archives.

Custom Searches

Custom Searches allow you add a powerful, multi-faceted search/filter system to your Archive Pages. By default, textual searches only search the Post Titles & Post Content in WordPress. To make this search more powerful, we’ve installed the Relevanssi Search Plugin. This plugin has direct integration with Toolset’s Views and allows us to search Custom Fields, configure Search Relevancy, etc. To configure Relevanssi’s settings, visit Settings > Relevanssi.
